KARACHI/LAHORE: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Nabil Gabol said Saturday that the party would put up strong resistance if Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri was arrested, DawnNews reported.Speaking to media representatives, Gabol said Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz’s (PML-N) authoritative style of leadership was damaging for the democratic system in the country.
He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should withdraw the order for Qadri’s arrest.The MQM leader said a commission, comprising Supreme Court judges, would be constituted to investigate the Model Town tragedy, adding that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif should also appear before it.He also claimed that Law Minister Rana Sanaullah had been made a scapegoat over the Lahore incident.
