Iran to meet UN nuclear watchdog on May 21: reports



DUBAI: Iran and officials from the United Nations nuclear watchdog will hold a new round of talks over Iran’s disputed nuclear program on May 21 in Vienna, Iranian media reported on Monday.

The Mehr and ISNA news agencies gave no further details in their reports.

The International Atomic Energy Agency press had no immediate comment. Last week, a diplomatic source told Reuters that a meeting in May was a possibility, but that no date had yet been fixed.

Two rockets fired from Sinai hit Israeli town of Eilat



JERUSALEM: At least two rockets were fired at Israel’s southern resort city of Eilat from Egypt’s Sinai peninsula on Wednesday, the Israeli military said.

Nobody was hurt in the attack, police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said, adding that the remains of two rockets had been found and police were looking for more. According to them, one rocket exploded near the courtyard of a house.

European Court declares sanctions against Iranian Bank to be unlawful

The European Council had in 2010 included Bank Mellat, Iran’s largest private bank, on its ‘blacklist’ of designated entities presumed to be involved with Iran’s nuclear proliferation programme.
