Salman Khan hurt while filming an action scene for ‘Mental’
New Delhi: For an actor like Salman Khan, who has been doing action scenes in Bollywood for almost two decades now, it was matter of bad timing that resulted in him facing an injury while shooting for Sohail Khan’s much-hyped ‘Mental’.
On Monday afternoon, Salman was performing an action scene, and thus, sprained his ankle and hurt his right toe.

Hrithik Roshan has come out of surgery stronger, says wife Sussanne
Hrithik Roshan underwent a brain surgery for removal of a clot at the Hinduja Hospital on Sunday (July 8, 2013). The surgery was successful and his wife Sussanne Roshan shows "gratitude" to everyone for their "good wishes and prayers" for the star.
Hrithik, who was diagonised with chronic subdural haematoma and was admitted on Saturday evening at the Hinduja Hospital in Khar, was operated upon in the afternoon and came out of the operation theatre around 3 pm.
Barfi! wins top honours at IIFA, Ranbir Kapoor, Vidya Balan bag best actor awards
Bollywood director Anurag Basu's Barfi! won multiple awards at the 14th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards this year. The Ranbir Kapoor-Priyanka Chopra starrer bagged awards for the best film, best director and the best performance in leading role (male) for its hero.
Ranbir, whose performance in the film has been highly appreciated, was not present to receive the award and it was collected by director Anurag Basu.
"I am really missing Ranbir today. This film could not have been made without him," Basu said, after accepting the award on the actor's behalf.

Salman Khan to be tried for culpable homicide in 2002 hit-and-run case
Actor Salman Khan will be tried for culpable homicide for a hit-and-run accident in 2002 in which one person were killed and four were injured in Mumbai.
If convicted for this charge, Mr Khan, who was not in court today, faces a 10-year jail term. He has been given a month to appear in court.

Bollywood actress Jiah Khan found dead, police suspect suicide
Mumbai: Bollywood actress Jiah Khan was found dead in her apartment in Juhu, Mumbai on late Monday night. The police suspect it is a case of suicide but no suicide note found so far. Jiah was found dead around 10.45 pm on Monday by her mother.
The police also claim that there are some marks on Jiah's neck. A post-mortem has been ordered. Her body was taken in an ambulance to Dr RN Cooper Municipal General Hospital in Juhu for post-mortem. Jiah is believed to have hung herself to death.

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan undergoes surgery
NEW DELHI : Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan has undergone surgery for a shoulder injury suffered while doing stunts for his new movie "Chennai Express."
Sanjay Desai, his doctor, said Khan's surgery in a Mumbai hospital on Tuesday was successful but he will need to rest for two months.

Saif Ali Khan's daughter Sara is super smart, says aunt Soha
There were reports that Saif Ali Khan's daughter Sara will soon enter filmdom and her aunt Soha admits that her niece has the potential, but right now they want her to complete her studies.
Sara is Saif and his ex-wife, actress Amrita Singh's daughter.
"Sara is very smart. She is studying in college in America. She is very confident and super smart. She even dances very well. Right now, we all want her to finish her education," Soha told IANS here. She is shooting here for director Faraz Haider's war comedy War Chhod Na Yaar with Sharman Joshi and Javed Jaffrey.

I-T raids at Ekta Kapoor, Jeetendra, Tusshar Kapoor's residences
MUMBAI: Income Tax officials on Tuesday conducted searches at Balaji Telefilms' facilities and the residence of its promoters — producer Ekta Kapoor and her actor-father Jeetendra — here for suspected tax evasion.
Sleuths from the department swooped down on seven locations across the city, including the yesteryear star and his daughter's residence in suburban Juhu, as part of the searches, which began at 0700 hours, I-T sources said.
Chitrangada Singh learning Kathak, Urdu for her next film
Mumbai: Actress Chitrangada Singh is gearing up for her next film for which she is taking diction and dance lessons.
Chitrangada was last seen in 'I Me Aur Main' alongside John Abraham and Prachi Desai. The film, released in early March, did fairly well at the box office.

Non-bailable warrant issued against Sanjay Dutt
New Delhi: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt is in trouble again. After getting five-year sentence by the Supreme Court for his alleged involvement in the 1993 Mumbai blasts, the Andheri court on Monday issued a non-bailable against the actor for threatening producer Shakeel Noorani.
According to Noorani, Dutt had signed a movie with him in 2002 but later backed out for some reasons. When the actor was asked to pay the signing amount and the losses incurred by the producer, Dutt simply refused and instead used his underworld contacts to threaten Noorani.

Sanjay Dutt gets four more weeks to surrender from Supreme Court
Mumbai: The Supreme Court has given actor Sanjay Dutt another four weeks of freedom before returning to jail. The judges said their decision was on "humanitarian grounds".
The actor, who was convicted last month for illegally possessing weapons in a case linked to the 1993 blasts in Mumbai, was meant to return to prison by tomorrow. He had applied earlier this week for six months before he began his prison sentence. His lawyers had said he would like to complete filming of movies in which over a hundred crores have been invested.

Actor Sanjay Dutt asks Supreme Court for six months to surrender
Actor Sanjay Dutt has asked the Supreme Court to give him six more months before he is imprisoned to allow him to complete his film commitments. His case will be heard tomorrow.
The 53-year-old was sentenced in March to serve five years in jail for illegally owning weapons including an AK-56 in a case linked to the 1993 bomb blasts. He will have to serve a little over three years of that as he has already spent 18 months in prison.

Sushmita Sen marrying Wasim Akram? Not true, says her team
Serially-single Sushmita Sen is not going to walk down the aisle just yet. Rumours of Sushmita and Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram planning a wedding have been rubbished by the actress' spokesperson.
Sushmita's too busy to plan a wedding according to her spokesperson who was quoted The Times of India as saying: "It's not true at all. In fact Sushmita is having a show in Mumbai on the 24th of this month. I don't think she can have an event in Mumbai as well as plan her wedding simultaneously."

Sanjay Dutt was sentenced to six year jail term by a TADA court, is to be decided. He has already spent 18 months in jail.

Priyanka Chopra upset over Barfi! National Award snub
