Militants destroy school in Bara

PESHAWAR: Militants on Saturday destroyed another primary school in Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency and set ablaze two houses of the members of the peace militia.

According to official sources, militants had planted explosives in the boys’ primary school in Aka Khel area of Bara, which upon detonation badly damaged the school building. It is pertinent to mention that educational institutions were closed in Bara due to curfew.

Militants have so far destroyed a total of 70 schools and educational institutions in Khyber Agency in the past three years. Meanwhile, militants set ablaze two empty houses owned by the members of the Aman Lashkar (peace militia) in the Aka Khel area.
