Dahal to contest election from Madhesh constituency

UCPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that he is willing to contest the Constituent Assembly elections from a Terai constituency.

Addressing a mass meeting organised by the party in Hariaun of Sarlahi on Saturday, Dahal said that he would field candidacy either from Dhanusha or Salarhi. He, however, indicated that he prefers Dhanusha-6.

We don't own a single gun, says Baidya

CPN-Maoist Chairman Mohan Baidya has said that his party does not have any weapons that were provided by the government for its leaders' security.




The government had recently written to the party, which was formed after Baidya left the UCPN(Maoist) party last year, demanding that it return the weapons at the earliest.
