Dehradun: A three-year-old girl who has got fractures in both her legs was found abandoned by pilgrims at Gaurikund after the flood fury in Uttarakhand. The minor is unable to communicate anything about herself or about her family's identity.
The pilgrims left her at a Rishikesh hospital where she received primary treatment for two days. Now Dehradun's Child Helpline has taken charge of the girl and have got her admitted to Dehradun district hospital where she has been for the last five days.
The doctors say she has been receiving blood and her condition is now stable. The search for her parents is still on. Dr NS Bedi said, "Both her legs are fractured and we have plastered them. She is currently in our disaster ward and receiving blood. She was very weak when she was admitted but now she is stable. She is too young to identify anything about her family or address."Meanwhile, actor Anupam Kher has come forward and offered to help the minor. Kher has offered to fund her education. While speaking to CNN-IBN the said he is offering to fund her education as long as she wants.
